FAQ

Q: What are the documents that I can get an Apostille for?

A: All documents notarized by a Notary Public and certain government documents.

Q: I need a Notary Public to notarize my documents before getting an Apostille. Can you help?

A: Yes. I am a Notary Public. Do find out more about my Notary services here

Q: I believe my government document does not need a Notary Public to notarize. Can you check for me if I can get an Apostille?

A: Do let me know the kind of document you have.

Q: Can I go to the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) to get the Apostille myself?

A: Yes.

Q: Then why do I need your help?

A: Getting the Apostille certificate from the SAL may not be a straightforward process. Certain documents need additional steps before you can get an Apostille. For example, you may need a Notary to certify your certificate before you can submit it to the SAL.  Some documents should also be legalized at the recipient's embassy in addition to the Apostille. Not all government documents are acceptable for Apostille. For example, some educational certificates from Singapore may not be accepted without notarisation first.

It would be better to get professional assistance rather than rely on untrained staff or friends who may not know the procedures required. This could save you time and money.

Q: Do you provide translation services?

A: No.

Q: What are your charges?

A: I have to ascertain your document requirements first before I can quote you my fees. Do contact me to let me know your specifications.
